Are you able to take and post any pictures? I ask because I wonder if you could specifically take and post a picture of the D. serratifolium. And also give the leaves a good feel!
I have just recently seen these in habitat and and now questioning whether plants in cultivation in Europe are the real thing. 'Real' serratifolium should have extremely rough surfaced leaves - like sandpaper. I would also suspect it would be damaged or killed by those kind of temperatures becasue it is from a long way south and not particualrly high altitude. As a marker it grows with Nolina longifolia - I don't know if you grow that?
