Not Eastern Washington, I know, but I have had one (around 3ft high) outside here for 3 years now. It's even flowered a little bit twice. I have to be honest and say there are better looking plants in the garden - it looks dead for most of the year. I guess if it makes it to 10ft with multiple heads I may change my mind.
