We bought a place in Sequim last summer and are in the process of moving the nursery there. If anywhere in western Washington is going to work that would seem like the place... only 16 inches of rain. But I hope ocotillo can live without a lot of heat.
Well for locating hardier plants - seems like Albuqueurque would be the place to start. Assuming that they weren't grown in Arizona and shipped up there. A little bit south of Albuquerque (well maybe 100 miles or so) is where the plants start. I could probably fork over the money for a 5 gallon container grown specimen if I can find one.
