Yes, pretty much any cactus that crawls, hangs or clusters is ideal. I've thought of using some of the slightly larger Opuntias such as O. macrorhiza. Some of the hardiest Echinopsis/Lobivia and Gymnocaliciums might work as well. Pediocactus knowltonii might be more likely to survive in such a situation also.
