Perhaps a nonliving thing has the right to not be destroyed. So a rock would have the right to not be crushed.
Unfortunately, if this were the case, humans would be getting no where.
Nature is a free market, so if rocks don't have the means to defend themselves from being crushed, that's just too bad.
