my office hours for this and next week is on Monday (11:55-1:55), as announced on the web. if you need any other arrangements, please send me an email.
also as announced on the web, today we will talk about the principle of double effect. the principle is discussed by our course readers (Anscombe and Lackey, among others), but their explanations are not so clear to me. i feel that the principle will play a big role for the next writing assignment. we will talk about the merits and limits of the principle and its applications.
