Can doctors then use that reasoning to justify their actions if they ever go on strikes for more pay? If doctors say they want to get paid more and stop treating people, is that justified? Can police choose not to make arrests because they wish not to?
There are certain occupations that are not allowed to go on strikes as the society depends that heavily on those people.
I believe flying an airplane is as much of a job description for pilots as treating the ill is for doctors.
I guess what I'm saying is I hope doctors are required to do what they're being paid to do.
