Is it safe to say that Ladd would defend Ford's actions/decisions based on his ideal of rationality? If I were to argue that since the Pinto met the standards of current times, they should not be held at fault for not meeting future requirements. Although they considered safer alternatives, they rationally decided to make a car that is relatively safe in current standards for the cheapest price (their organizational aim).
