i think sunbeam got in financial trouble again a few years after Al Dunlap sold it, possibly because of all the short term profit modification he did to it,i don't exactly remember tho
i think a general quote (not specifically about sunbeam) about Al Dunlap was that "he was eating the seed corn" of the company (or something like that)
essentially, they're saying that his practices help profits in the short term but end up hurting them in the long run
