I'm glad you have those payments behind you. It is hard to make a life and death decision based on finances and easier in hind-sight. I had to do that with our horse Tar. His prognosis helped make the decision, but even with that it was hard to not give him a chance because of the great expense of surgery and recovery care. I think either way you decide, you probably wonder "what if"...
I guess we just learn from each situation we encounter and it hopefully helps us make decisions in the future. You have had your fair share of decisions with ailing and elderly animals. Of course, like me, you have a lot of animals which increases your odds of having to make those decisions. :-)
