Our paper did carry an article last week. It's still not seen in New Mexico ...for which I am grateful.
Yes, I think you get the shot for your dogs if they are likely to be exposed to other dogs ... and that includes if you happen to be in the habit of strolling alone through shelters, dog parks or just trails where a lot of other dogs are exercised.
(gotta go now. It's late and apparently Microsoft sent out a huge number of patches which my PC wants to install now.)
