My dogs had their booster shot. I guess the booster is the one that is most likely to cause a problem, if there happens to be one. We had to hang out in the office for a few minutes. Everyone did well, however Cooper was a little sleepier than usual, but just for the day.
I guess the vaccination can actually help the dog recoup from any residual affects of the flu. I almost think I have seen that with Ruger. Ruger's lungs were really affected and he hasn't been the same since the flu. Not that he has been a relaxed dog, but he just hasn't had the same stamina. He is seeming more himself lately -- crazy, insane big lug of a boxer boy! Of course, I just started them all on some vitamins, so it could be that as well.
I think most of you know that I am cautious with vaccinations. I titer my dogs annually. I did not have them receive the flu shot with a light heart, but the flu nearly killed Ruger and Rosie. It was frightening. It seems the best thing to do for my crew. Hoping it stays away from your areas!!
