I agree with Bekah. Although he was a dog, just before I lost Elmo (my beagle) he was having somewhat simular problems. He was also in full blown kidney failure and it was only a matter of time. He was diagnosed on a Friday, and Sunday morning at 2am I lost him here at home. What he was doing was falling down and his bladder would let go. He was sooooo embarressed. I knew that by Monday morning I would be calling the vets to help him to the bridge. Again, he went on his own Sunday morning.
Although his battle was short, god only knows how uncomfortable he was, how long it was really going on, etc. So I agree, as hard as the choice is, your heart will lead you in the right direction and so will the animal. They will tell you, you just have to listen! Im so so sorry you are having to go through this.
