Yep........at our house hungry dogs plus possible tasty tidbits can definitely spark a fight.
The Big Guy is the same way.......don't mess with him if he's hungry.
I know that's a hard decision to take him off the pred (if it was helping) but you're between a rock and a hard place.
Another one of those things most of us do.......share food with begging dogs. Training techniques always tell you not to do that. It goes the way of sleeping in your bed, laying on the furniture....the type of thing that can get out of hand and spark dominance. Yet so many of us do it :-/
