My dad worked for the mill for many years. The smell was always on his clothes when he came home from work. One thing I do remember well is hearing the mill whistle blow or the old train trying to get traction pulling out of the yard at all times of the night and day.
: Yep! The Mill was precious to all of us!
:
: My Dad worked there as a Machinist for over
: 28 years!
:
: I would have never believed it could pull up
: stakes from Cullendale.
:
: Someone tell those of us who weren't there
: how it came about and how the area recovered
: or is recovering; is the Mill still
: standing?
:
: Bob

: Well, Roy, people that worked at that mill
: said it smelled like 'bread and butter' to
: them. It sure looks and smells different
: here now with IP gone. Never thought I would
: miss it too, but I do.
