: Yep! The Mill was precious to all of us!
: I am from the class of 57, married to Fran Turner. I worked for IP in Bastrop, La. for 40 years. I also worked at Pine Bluff for one summer. I ended up in Human Resources as a training supervisor. Camden was just the latest in a long line of older IP facilities to bite the dust. Springhill, Bastrop, Mobile, Natchez, Gardiner, Oregon, Moss Point, Camden just to name a few. Age of facilities, geographical locations, market erosion, greatly intensified competition are all contributing factors. There is a mill left in Bastrop but the handwriting is on the wall! Fran and I are in Camden frequently and it is really depressing in Cullendale. It is really a blessing that Camden has the old NAD area. There sre several industries there and they are helping greatly.

: I would have never believed it could pull up
: stakes from Cullendale.
:
: Someone tell those of us who weren't there
: how it came about and how the area recovered
: or is recovering; is the Mill still
: standing?
