Dear Prospective Sponsor,
I am Ashley Lowe, a Rising Senior, and will graduate in 2009 from Prince George High School in Prince George VA. After playing at Queen of Diamonds Showcase South at Winthrop University and QDSN, at Kent State University. I will be representing the USA in the World Cup 2009 as a catcher. There were 3200 applicants and 40 chosen to play, only 4 catchers, this is a great accomplishment. We went through 3 application processes and then we were chosen. I am asking for sponsorship/ donation or items I could use in a silent auction (such as tickets, gift cards), (any amount would be appreciated) so that I may make the trip, although costly ($4500.00) this will be a ultimate achievement for me. I will be an ambassador for the community. I am only one of two chosen from Virginia, this would be great for Prince George Virginia.
I have a 3.5 GPA with some college classes at Richard Bland College. When not in class you will find me on a Softball field, or conditioning at ACTS. I started playing tee ball at 5, and then played Parks and Rec. ball. Then played in 8th grade as Junior Varsity Catcher, 9th grade as RF and Catcher on Varsity on the Lady Royals Team, last year 10th grade, I caught and played 3rd base on Varsity. This year I am the Varsity Catcher,. I made ALL DISTRICT, and ALL ACADEMIC 2006-2007,and 2007-2008. I have played on tournament teams since I was 12, now playing on The Waves 18U. Chosen MVP multiple times, and I am considered the most sportsmanship player on our teams. In 2009 I will be playing softball at the college level. I have been chosen to Catch in the SOFTBALL WORLD CUP in Netherlands, for 2009, not only for my abilities and my sportsmanship.
I have been featured on WLEE Radio about Women Athletics fulfilling their goals, and was also featured on Channel 6’s Virginia Morning on January 15th 2008, and as their Hometown Athletic, 2nd week of March. I was in The Hopewell News, and The Progress Index on January 5-6 2008 weekend. Also featured in The Prince George Journal on February 27.
I help PG Parks and Rec. keeping score where I am an assistant coach too. I am now the Catching Coach for the 12u New Kent Blast. I have been involved in the Walk Against Drugs and other community events in our area. I make handmade sports jewelry for my families craft business. I am involved in FBLA, and FCA at school.
