If she has a pitching instructor she/he should be able to answer your questions about your daughter. Rita Lynn Gilman is a great instructor and she will answer your questions, or an instructor of your choice. She has a web site. From what I've seen the average speed is 50 to 55 at age 14. Movement is also important as well as ball placement. The most pitches I've seen so far are 6 along with great ball placement and movement. It takes a great deal of practice and of course dedication to master pitches. Remember to warm-up before and to cool down after (ice the arm and shoulder). Good Luck!!!
