i have seen a wide variety of speeds in 14u. they range from 45 up to 56. most of the better ones are in the 52to 54 range. at that speed movement works well. as far as pitches go ive seen most pitchers have 2 mabey 3 pithces. whatever they can master and throw effectively is what they should have. lots of girls throw a curve that doesnt curve or a drop that doesnt drop. you have to have enough speed and spin to achieve movement. hope this helped.
