My daughter works with an instructor who teaches contol and ball movement first. She has been pitching travel for 3 years. In our experiance I found that this gave her alot more mound time then the girls who may have thrown harder but were not accurate. She has just moved up to 14u and her speed has caught up with the other girls. Remember, all teams practice hitting fastballs, its change of speed and plain along with location that win games.
