It is scored as PA to the batter, a batter faced to the pitcher; however when entered in my stat program it does not go against the pitcher. It shows as an IBB. This could be a revised stat rule since it used to go against the pitcher. It really is only fair considering sacrafice bunts, & sacrafice flys don't go against the batter. The pitcher is doing what the coach is asking. Hope this helps.
