No,the director has no control who comes to play which is fine.The more the merrier as long as they truly belong. But he does have control of pretty much everything else.For instance:
Rosters-How does a team show up,no record of a roster and the director lets them write their names,etc. on a BLANK ENVELOPE? Unbelievable.
Tourney starts on Friday-Well then start on Friday.Great to be in the nice Fl.weather but some could have flown in Fri.night after work.
B division-Not enough teams? Then play a round robin.Don't let YOUR Florida C teams pick up A & B players.What happened to OFFICIAL ROSTERS??

As for people leaving a name,what's the difference? You probably don't know these people anyway.
Also,if there were no games played on Friday,why couldn't teams take some batting practice on the empty fields? Thanks for the lousy hospitality.
