It was really great to be able to play competitive ball in February. Hey we can't do that up here in Jersey, but come on now. The tourney was run poorly. The whole not playing Friday was really bad. We have been to tournaments that start on Friday in the past. Even if we didn't play Friday some other men's teams did. It was just the luck of the draw. The bracket was never posted because of this huge emphasis on the blind draw. Wasn't even how it was done though. The draw was completed on the previous Sunday and had each Florida team matched with an out of state. That's ok by me, just don't lie and say the draw will be blind. Post the thing in advance, maybe some guys could make last minute adjustments. Hey Florida teams: Don't you guys want alot of us to want to come back? I don't think things were done for your teams to get a special advantage. You hear rumors, but I pay no mind to them. It was just run poorly. We went 0-3 and stunk up the joint, but that doesn't mean our money, effort and time are any different from every single team there. Say we actually were able to win our first game. We would have been done on Saturday. The winner of our game didn't play again until Sunday at 8:15. We would have been there since Thursday night and played one game going into Sunday morning. Hey we didn't win. Power Stroke came back from 9 down to beat us. Good job by them. Come on though, that was a double edged sword for us. We also picked a hotel based on how close it was to Greco Park. We were sent to Handley to play instead. Hotel was booked in December by us. Didn't find out about the change until the Thursday meeting. It was great to compete against alot of quality players and some real nice guys, but it was not the best tournament experience. Maybe it would have been better if we played better. That didn't happen though. After all, misery loves company.
