have to say that would seem fairer ! Place all the qualifying teams in a pool, and have a series of play offs !
As you say if you have a very high standard league with half a dozen contenders who will take points off each other, the PPG will be lower than a poorer standard league with one runaway leader.
It makes you wonder (again) about the logic of those in high up places. Can they not see this for themselves.
At the moment i fear that the Hellenic winners may just be the team to miss out. If we imagine for example that Alomondsbury had played one more game and had the same PPG as Hungerford, then neitjer North Leigh, Hungerford or the Almonds would qualify as things stand now.
