Tend to agree with you mate - ps Ardley were promoted from 4th place in Div 1 West - so Witney wasn't that special! You also have to remember that that was the year that they (Hellenic) wanted 22 clubs with Step 5 facilities in their league. This was a bit like when 3 clubs got promoted out of the Hellenic to Step 4 and so is not, strictly a good example. good luck to Chad - Although I still think with the number of players they had with Hellenic and Southern League experience they should have been Champions (but, Hey Ho, that's football).
