Royals has made a mention on the Almonds thread of "the fa sniffing around the Hellenic legs" and this is something that has been talked about before. I remember something (rumour possibly) that the FA were looking into a reorganisation on geographical matters at our level a couple of years ago. Plus they definitely said there were two many leagues at step 5 - I mean the Essex Senior League has only 16 teams in it and they have promotion rights to step 4.... Even more daft you don't have to go back to many years to find the ESL had only 14!!!
Tony Kempster did some very good work on this matter a couple of years ago and the FA were supposed to be looking at it - so does anyone know if it is being looked at. I mean the travel in this leaue is vast compared to some step 5 leagues and again it is extroadinary that some leagues have only 16 or 18 while others have the full 22.
