: To the Unhappy fan,
: I am sure Kevin Leach and myself are more
: than happy to talk to you - if you think you
: can do better please offer yourself - I am
: more than happy to step aside. There is one
: serious error in your coments and
: assumptions - the vast majority of the
: players brought in by Paul Berry were local
: lads - the biggest ratio for many years -
: however the results and the performances
: were poor. The "better" local
: players have gone elsewhere for money. So -
: what do we do ? Stick with what we have got
: and go down or try others ?
: Your comments regarding the new manager are
: harsh - I understand the frustrations as I
: am sick of losing consistently as we have
: done for the last few seasons. Please talk
: to club officials, help us, we are trying
: our best and I don't see anybody esle
: prepared to put their money and time into
: helping the Club

: BICESTER TOWN FC will go down, the new squad
: looks no better than the last one. 1st
: impressions of the new manager are not
: encouraging. After some promising
: performances particularly 2nd halfs he has
: scrapped the entire defence and brought in 3
: worse, unfit players (credit to 1 lad he
: looks half decent.)
: We had some good players that will leave the
: club in the near future if they haven't
: already because of the manager making
: clearance changes and that isn't good for
: any club.
: As a club we are a shambles, we have no
: local support, which is because we have no
: local players, we have no local players
: because of the management, this leads to no
: support from the community, no sponsors, no
: funds and no club.
:
: We NEED NOW to be encouraging local support
: from Bicester not alienating the locals, and
: this starts with trying to groom local
: talent,
:
: “….provide a centre of football excellence
: for the community”. Not Abingdon and Witney
: reserves.
:
: Look at the club strategy the new manager
: has torn this up in our faces, it makes a
: mockery of everything the club apparently
: stands for.
:
: I for one am sick of the new manager
: already, he doesn't have the best interests
: of the club in heart or mind and is trying a
: quick fix which WILL go wrong just to try
: further a career (dream).
:
: The club is a complete joke and Nick
: Harverson and Kevin Leach should read the
: clubs strategic plan, they will quickly
: realise that they will not achieve that the
: way the club is being run at the moment.
:
: Really what is the point of a new website
: when the clubs foundations are bring
: destroyed from within.
:
: Get a grip Bicester the town deserves
: better.

: Sorry don’t agree. Any new manager would
: have
: strengthened the squad by now. There is no
: way you will make 6th from bottom without
: some major changes. People keep saying there
: are some great people behind Bicester. Why
: is the club in such a mess then? Like I said
: in a earlier post who is the chairman and
: who is making the decisions at the club? The
: secretary seems to have a lot to say does he
: make all the decisions. Some of the stuff he
: writes on the website is awful. He has had a
: go at players publicly and in or programme.
: He is a secretary why is he doing this?
:
: I hope Bicester stays up but without looking
: at the club in depth and not just asking for
: money off people the same problems will
: arise time and time again.
:
: There was a report in the paper after the
: new managers first game
:
: He quoted “I’m making some signings this
: week, and the defence will be different this
: Saturday.”

: There are people with alot to say but do not
: really know what the situation is at
: Bicester. There are some great people behind
: the scenes at Bicester but interms of
: football the team is very unfit, lacking
: quality and lacking confidence, not sure
: what preseason was done but is wasn't very
: good. A major change in players and attitude
: is needed and this will take time, once this
: has been done the results will then improve,
: a club in transition will not improve over
: night and need as much support as
: possible!!!Judge Bicester football club and
: their manager at the end of the season.

: I saw the last managers record posted on
: here not long ago and thought that was
: people stirring. But the poor record goes
: on.
: --Previous Message--
:
: Why are you shocked?
: He only ever bought in one player to The
: Town so no suprise that the players coming
: in are struggling

: I was expecting a change in fortunes when
: Bicester got a new manager. I think they
: need to get relegated and start again.
:
: Who is the chairman?
:
: --Previous Message--
: I have seen them several times this season
: and
: the team has changed somewhat. The players,
: in general, are not good enough for this
: league. There are 3 or 4 exceptions however
: and they need to build around these players.
: Defensively no where near good enough so
: should probably start there
:

:
: 9 goals against in the last 2 games and no
: goals scored. Shocking start for the new
: manager.
:
: Are the players that bad?

: Do Bicester have a chairman? The secretary
: has
: a lot to say reading the website. Were is

YES in a word, I and many of the few other supporters would prefer to support a Bicester Town club that contains Bicester born or residing players, the local lads like CJ, Greeny, Phipps, Nathan, John and others are the players we want to see playing with a few others like Alex and Matt (Before he left).
With the local players the club will receive better support from the community, the under 15's can eventually progress in to a reserve side and from that the club can develop into a stronger organisation that provides the community with a centre of footballing excellence, not just a finishing post for hellenic drop-outs.
Your comments regarding the new manager are harsh - I understand the frustrations as I am sick of losing consistently as we have done for the last few seasons.
I never agreed with Paul's appointment but gave him the benefit of the doubt because he brought in the local lads, I thought he was too high profile for our club. And it was because of the local element that I accepted that I / we needed to give the lads time to get fit, grow together and gel.
What your saying now is give the new lot time to gel and get fit, well no I won't because they aren't Bicester.
I want a Bicester community club for Bicester people and Chris Hurley has just about destroyed that, and you know it.
Please talk to club officials, help us, we are trying our best and I don't see anybody esle prepared to put their money and time into helping the Club
There are loads of people willing to help the right club, just look at the Ryan...., the Northern lad thats helping with the programme, website, a 1st goal draw and god knows what else but anyway he provides time, services and supports the club on match day too, there are other from Bicester that will help providing the club is right from the start and at present the board have made the wrong appointment again, and this time the clubs policies have died with it.
