Am I correct in the assumption that this Hate Crimes Bill would prohibit Ministers from speaking out against homosexual behavior? What happened to "OUR" freedom of speech and "OUR" Freedom "OF" religion? You can write your own letter or edit mine as you see fit, but please contact Senator Kennedy about this matter as he is the one who introduced it and attached it to the defense spending bill

I understand that you have attached a hate crimes bill to the defense budget. There are many things that "YOU" say that I don't happen to agree with. I don't consider it a hate crime. So why is it that we should be silenced for saying something that a portion of our society does not agree with.
It seems to me that this bill infringes on my civil rights. Or don't I have any? Please drop your support of this bill. It is just bad legislation.
