Today started out just as any other Monday, Load the truck, make a delivery, come home, yada yada yada. Well, I had to drive an extra 75 miles to deliver ten small pieces of wood that the customer left behind when they picked up their order last week. I wasn't thrilled to make that long of a drive, since the delivery charge wouldn't even cover the cost of the fuel.
I got lost when I got to the area where I was to make the delivery. Had to back up over 1/4 mile on a narrow dirt road. Finally found the place and when I went to drop the material, I began talking to a young woman at the house next door.
We talked for a while, then she began to sob, explaining that she had lost a child after he had lived only 2 hours. We continued talking, I inquired as to her spiritual state and ended up praying for her and the rest of her children.
All in all, it was a productive day and I now know that I need to stop being like Jonah. Go, without grumbling, there is a reason for being placed in a situation. It just might mean the difference between spending eternity with God or not.
