Talon, “So all I’m saying Al is this; You need to be in school, its important that you get a career lined up. I hate to sound like Mom and Dad, but just because I’ve set you up for life financially, doesn’t mean you need to not work. People who don’t work either die early for some reason, or they are just junkies and addicts who end up in rehab… so I’m gonna set you up with a nice dorm at NYU, its right here, no need to take a train or cab, the campus is great, right in East Village... You’ll have your full tuition paid, and all you’ve got to do is go to class, and work part time bartending and serving here at the bar on the weekends… You’ll be paid a good wage, and you know Ed’s flexible on days off and the like.”
Ally seems hesitant, a bit reluctant, and almost seems to feel uncomfortable with the conversation.
Ally, “…but what about time to spend with Logan?”
Talon, “I know you guys are so close Ally, and I understand the way you feel, but you have to put yourself first in this situation. You’ll be happier in the long run, and if Logan really cares for you like you say, then not seeing him as often as you have been recently will only strengthen your feelings and make the time you spend together ‘that’ much more special… trust me.”
Ally doesn’t voice her objections, feeling that maybe her brother’s advice is truly for the best…
Ally, “Did you talk to Mom and Dad about this?”
Talon, “They’ve hoped I’d do this for you since you moved up here with me, it’s what’s best for you. We just want you to be happy when its all said and done.”
Ally, “Well, I guess you’re right… I just don’t know if it’s…”
Talon cuts her off, without realizing he has.
Talon, “It’s the right decision Ally… just look at the facts. College is a great social experience as well as the knowledge and life lessons you gain, you’ll make friends you never forget, and have some of the best times of your life…”
Talon is interrupted as a waitress brings them a large platter of the Bar’s signature wings…
Talon, “We’ll talk more about it after we eat… enjoy your wings…”
Talon and Ally begin to eat, the camera pans the bar, catching glimpses of familiar faces in the process…
Sam Jackson is at a table with a bucket of wings, as is Yankee’s GM Brian Cashman and potential Ace Cliff Lee… Another table plays host to a group of young college girls, flirting with the firemen sitting at the adjacent table. The atmosphere is full of a sense of laid back tension free fun… everyone is feeling this vibe… other than Ally Wilkinson.
Ally, “So… I heard I can’t be at Havoc anymore… Even if I buy a ticket?”
Talon, “at least until David Willyard says its ok… Senester said if you bought a ticket it was ok, but then Willyard topped it off with barring you totally… but it may be for the best. You can stay here and study and do your school work, and you won’t be in harm’s way during matches and everything you know?”
Ally, “Logan’s been keeping me safe at shows though…”
Talon, “Yeah… he really helped out when I was getting choked to death at Blood Sweat and Tears…”
Ally remains silent, realizing that it’s true that her boyfriend did fail to attempt to help her brother.
Talon, “I’m not mad Ally, I’m just saying, when Sen said ‘your friends aren’t here to help’… he was right.”
Ally, “what about Ronnie, Eddie, all of them?”
Talon, “Ronnie impacted Senester in his own way… and Eddie… Eddie and I were still enemies until I ran out and we finally decided it was time.”
Ally, “So Logan is the only one at fault for not helping?!”
Talon looks at Ally sternly, as her voice raises and causes a few people, including Cliff Lee, to look over…
Talon, “No… I didn’t say that. He isn’t at fault, I didn’t ask for his help, or anyone elses… I’m just saying, if he can sit and watch me get choked out, how can you be sure he’s going to really protect you when the time comes…”
Ally again remains silent.
Talon, “but enough about the past… back to what we were talking about. I’ve got you an appointment for Monday at NYU, the counselor will help you figure out what courses to take, just use my card and pay for whatever you need to.”
Ally sighs as she nods in agreement…
Talon, “You’ll thank me one day Ally… trust me.”
Ally smiles lightly before leaning over and hugging her brother.
Ally, “I know… and I really do appreciate it… I just need to wrap my brain around it and talk to Logan.”
Talon, “Fair enough… talk to him tomorrow during dinner… Now lets get out of here, didn’t you want to catch the 6pm Harry Potter showing?”
Ally smiles and laughs giddily…
Ally, “OH YEAH! It’s already that time… wow, time flies when you’re… ‘having fun’.”
Talon doesn’t catch the sarcasm as he leaves a 100 dollar bill on the table and the two walk out…
as they do, Talon leans over and whispers to Cliff Lee….
Talon, “sign the deal… you’ll love it here.”
Cliff smiles as Talon walks away and the scene fades to black.
