"If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;" (Deuteronomy 13: 6)
First allow me to acknowledge your performance at Blood, Sweat and Tears. There are few in the industry capable of challenging me in real competition, you may count yourself among them, and be satisfied. Blood, sweat or even tear stains did not matter to you in the end though. Even had you gained a victory your night had been preordained by your “friend” Eddie who from the very beginning had already disassociated himself from you. You didn’t see that coming Altair? Did you not feel the chilled hand of neglect and betrayal creeping upon your shadow? It is regrettable that once again you are left to stand alone…all your efforts and time wasted. Lisa, Renegade, McNeil, and now Eddie share the ranks of the vampires who have feed from your life-force to sustain their own. In truth, you were never his real friend. Eddie needs people in his life. He needs his fair share of moochers, patrons, fans, and friends in his life, lest as you no doubt have witnessed in their absence…he will make them up.
Talon was always his true friend, his real friend. The events that transpired between them only broke the bridge, it did not burn it, and DNA were caught in the middle. The apparent death of Hennessey only contributed to drawing him back to them. Some say his name is Jeff Hardy, but it is Eddie who is the true enigma of professional wrestling. One moment he is your friend, another you are sharing drinks, another he is brooding in his penthouse alone, another he is imagining conversation, and the next he has forgotten you’ve been by his side all along yet finds his efforts best spent with young criminals looking for their place in the world outside confinement. He leads an interesting life to say the least, and has quite the potential for success if he were not so obliged to insignificant people and things.
How did you like that little reunion of theirs at Blood, Sweat, and Tears? The party that you were excluded from, nor wished to attend anyway seemed to do just fine without you. Everything is back to the way that it was before with only a few minor scars to show. You helped make Eddie a World Heavyweight Champion, even then your efforts were in vein by the example of his reign. As always seems to be the case with you, I am curious to see once again, who, what, when, where, and how the Loose Cannon will strike. Something tells me that I am not the only one brewing a cauldron of devastation.
