The city streets are crowded. Thousands of people have come in both support and thousands more in protest of Senester and Dark Horse Productions, of which they are more familiar with the Hardcore Wrestling Alliance. The scene outside a large courtroom is astounding. Media surround the area, police controlling the crowd. Little do they know that the chaos extends to inside a courtroom where a feverish hearing is underway. Seating alongside his panel of defense attorney’s is Senester, observing the prosecution nonchalantly.
(Prosecution Attorney): For too many years this man (pointing at Senester) and his Dark Horse Productions have virtually danced and spat on the ledger of the law. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, don’t be awed by them because of their most popular brand the world renowned Hardcore Wrestling Alliance. This man (pointing at Senester again) is more than just some wrestler. They have their hands in everything, military contracts and not just here in the United States, a world class legal firm, media networks, an elite science and technology corporation doing things we can’t even imagine. They have Senators, Governors, Congressman, elected officials, and even judges (looking at the judge) in their back pocket. Ladies and gentlemen…they are the invisible hands, and those hands are dirty. Those hands are stained with blood of the innocent. Those hands steal and deprive everyday people of their constitutional rights. They…
(Judge): Counsel…where is this leading?
(Prosecution Attorney): You’re honor, the prosecution is asking for full transparency into Dark Horse Productions and all of its subdivisions primarily the barbaric Hardcore Wrestling Alliance. We also ask….
(Defense Attorney): Objection your honor, counsel is making bias classifications.
(Judge): Explain counsel.
(Defense Attorney): Your honor, I’m afraid counsel is equating the Hardcore Wrestling Alliance with his own personal beliefs following an unfortunate incident with his own son who was injured at school while attempting to reenact professional techniques he observed while watching HWA’s weekly Havoc broadcast.
The judge looks over at the prosecution who looks enrage…
(Judge): Counsel?
The defense attorney looks rather frustrated.
(Defense Attorney): Your honor…what the defense is crudely referring to is that my son’s leg was amputated after breaking it at school trying to jump off the boys bathroom sink for some wrestling move. His bones broke through the skin and his leg couldn’t be saved. Our children, your children (looking at the jury) are watching this barbaric thing they call a sport and…
(Defense Attorney): Objection your honor, this is completely irrelevant to this case, counsel is leading the jury, and wasting the courts time. If the prosecution insists on injecting this trial with his personal war then we have no choice but to ask for an immediate dismissal.
(Judge): Sustained. Counsel you’ll be wise to direct your focus on the case at hand, or a dismissal it will be.
Senester sits in his chair looking over at the prosecution attorney. Blood boiling in the man’s eyes as she looks at Senester and shuffles papers trying to regain his composure.
(Defense Attorney): My apologies to the court. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury…prior to meeting today you were shown video of various episodes of HWA’s Havoc. Every single city they go to they leave nothing but damage in their wake that you the tax payers are forced to support. Their events cause enormous traffic strains, and statistics from every state’s transportation department clearly identify an increase in traffic incidents surrounding their events. The damage to commercial property within the general public has amassed as they take their shows from the arena’s they were meant for into the streets. You saw the video footage from Proto, Utah. There is a complete lack of regard for public authority, human life, and the law.
This man (pointing yet again at Senester) believes that his endlessly deep pockets can answer every problem. He writes checks back to the cities for damage repair with interest thrown in. What about the lives that are taken in the process….innocent men, women and children? Where is that check? How much can he write down for the value of a human beings life? This man and Talon Wilkinson destroyed two square miles of Proto, Utah, including the local police department which hindered the response to emergencies from the other chaos they caused. This man and Butch Parker stormed into a Red Cross facility…Red Cross who helps millions around the world. The bulldozed in murdering staff, stealing supplies as well as blood. This man’s employee’s the one called Sheik Shakir and Curt Evers have been detained on fifteen national and 6 international flights over the past year attempting to smuggle weapons onto the plane. These men call themselves Terrorists and they act it out in their real lives. As of late kids are buying cans of spray paint and paining each other, we have reports of cases where kids, young kids seen in these NWO t-shirts are huffing the paint as well. A little girl in Memphis, Tennessee was found unconscious next to a bottle of tequila she stole from her parent’s cupboard. The girl had alcohol poisoning and when revived at the hospital said she wanted to marry Eddie K, another HWA talent.
We ask the court, we ask you the jury to impose sanctions on the HWA. Fines alone will not suffice. They must be banned from our cities. Their television show must be censored to protect ourselves and our youth. They assault their own patrons in attendance. Dead bodies have been produced and desecrated on live broadcasts in front of thousands. Blatant acts of sexual intercourse have been displayed. All of these things and much more have been witnessed on live television, uncensored, unfiltered in any way to protect the public. Their AC James repeatedly engages in racist commentary that goes unaddressed. The NAACP has filed countless complaints that have gone unheard. Ladies and gentlemen…There must be guidelines put in place to harness this organization. There must be rules and regulations that they are made to abide. There must be unequivocal punishments administered when they stray from the letter of the law, and I’m talking serious jail time without parole, without bail. They are a threat to our society, they are a threat to our country. They must be stopped. This man…Senester…he must be stopped.
The defense attorney now nearly out of breath from his fervent argument takes his seat. The judge listening intently looks over to the defense where Senester is talking with his team, the lead defense attorney stands once more and goes over to the jury.
(Defense Attorney): Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Why are we here? Why has your state called upon you to perform a public service and view this case? The prosecution appears to propose that the Hardcore Wrestling Alliance essentially cease and desists all operations. This is America. This is capitalism. This is a free-market economy ladies and gentlemen. This is free speech. Outside this courtroom the streets are filled with thousands of people enacting their freedom of speech. Some of them hate my client. Some of them do not. Some of them are wrestling fans, and some of them despise the sport. The prosecution would have you believe that the HWA is a threat to our society, our country and even the world itself, but the same argument can be made for any other show you watch on television. Does American Idol give our youth false hope of being musicians? Clearly there are those on the program with little to no talent, chosen over hundreds to thousands of others who clearly do? Does the Twilight Saga romanticize vampires and werewolves to the extent that some in our communities are acting out biting each other? Should we place the same sanctions on each and every local news station who shows robberies, bodies laying in the street following incidents, video of elderly abuse in nursing homes, live car chases endangering the public, or even live officer involved shootings? Are these things not the very same that is witnessed on HWA programming?
The defense walks back and forth in front of the jury.
(Defense Attorney): For years society in general has labeled professional wrestling as “fake.” Suddenly it’s become very “real” to some and the upsetting part is that they were wrong. HWA Programming is no different than any other broadcast on television. If you place sanctions on the HWA then you do so for all media. It is in the individual homes that the standards should be set for our individual beliefs, not to be imposed upon those of others. There is no denying the role in society HWA plays in its events. Damages to the public sector are not only reimbursed but done so as the prosecution pointed out “with interest”…substantial interest I might add. Counsel spoke of innocent lives being taken, and to that we acknowledge the unfortunate injury and death of bystanders, but cannot accept blame.
Our children are killing themselves today because they are bullied at school, not because they watch Buff Bridges jump off the top rope. HWA does not endorse or condone anyone child or adult to engage in the performance of wrestling in any form without the appropriate training. However, for every case of self-imposed negligence where injury or death has resulted, there is a case where this same performance has saved lives, and protected individuals. Women who have found wrestling stars like Wisdom, Vanessa Lang, or former superstars such as ICE or Callisto as role models have found themselves defending against attackers. In Dallas Texas, a report came in from a 5-year old boy….5 years old ladies and gentlemen…who saved his father’s life by jumping off the coffee table with what he hoped to be a move called a “Frog Splash” onto his father who had fell to the floor chocking. The father later explained that he and his son watched wrestling and that AC James was his son’s favorite, and that he had heard on the shows that when you jump on someone it “knocks the wind out of them.”
Most of you know my client. He is without a doubt one of the most well known and influential men in the world. The prosecution earlier made a point of outlining the range of industries that Dark Horse operates within, so you can imagine the breadth of the organization. Do not fault my client for his business aptitude, he is living and he is perusing the great American Dream. Do not fault my client for making the same tough business decisions that every executive, every president and world leader must make in order to sustain business and society. My client’s employees engage in countless hours of community service. The American Heart Association, the Make-a-Wish Foundation, and the list goes on of organizations that the HWA works with. Charitable donations are made to these organizations as well as others within and outside the United States. As this trial proceeds ladies and gentlemen…you are going to see more from the HWA. You are going to see the so-called “good and evil.” In that time…I want you to keep a few things in mind. Is it your responsibility to judge for entire societies what is good for them, or are you to be the judge for yourself and your family alone? I want you to look at the controversial issues and turn those coins over and see the benefit of the cons the prosecution will dutifully attempt to highlight as the only facts. I want you to look in your home, and look in your communities for the real impact the Dark Horse has on your lives and that of society. Was it Bryan Deas who robbed the 7-Eleven on the corner, or was it Bryan Deas who received a letter from a child in the hospital and paid them a visit? Was it Hans von Richtoven killing kids in schools, or was it Hans von Richtoven speaking with kids in schools on being a foreigner and integrating into American society successfully? Ask yourself is it the HWA taking food off your table, or is it the HWA contributing millions each year to food banks across the world? Ladies and gentlemen I thank you for your time and your attention this morning…I look forward to seeing you again soon.
(Judge): Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, you have heard the opening statements of this case. At this time the court will adjourn, you will now deliberate briefly. We will reconvene in one week.
The mallet slams down and the court is brought to a close for the day. Senester gets up from his seat, shaking the hands of his counsel. Fierce stares are coming from the prosecution. Senester and crew leave the courthouse and are flooded by a swarm of protestors and supporters alike. Protestors are being arrested, a woman screaming is dragged off by security crying bloody murder.
(Screaming Woman): Who do you think you are? You monster! You savage! Fuk You!
On one half o the street we hear “HWA” chants and the other side is screaming “murders, liars. Senester’s personal security team are in place with weapons drawn and quickly escort him into an armored vehicle ready to defend against any attackers.
Senester enters the vehicle and they immediately take off. Some members of his defense team remain behind for media questions.
Inside he continues his discussion with the lead attorney.
(Senester): Well…that was productive…Let’s see the files.
The attorney retrieves from his briefcase files on each member of the jury. Senester starts flipping through them.
(Defense Attorney): This one could be a problem, single mother, three children, lower-middle class, husband died five years ago…natural causes. Since then she has “found God” let us say.
(Senester): Hmph! Clearly she hasn’t. Keep an eye on her…I want to know her motivations.
He continues looking through the files and comes across a young man.
(Senester): He’s young!
(Defense Attorney): He’s nineteen my lord and perhaps the wildcard in this trial.
(Senester): How so?
(Defense Attorney): Two years ago he was very briefly a student at Talon Wilkinson’s Ice Box. Or at least he tried to be. He didn’t pass the physical fitness test in order to begin proper training. He’s applied to dozens of Indy promotions other schools but has had little luck breaking into the business. His last 9 months have been spent as an office assistant for a local temp-agency. His records indicate that he now only occasionally watches wrestling.
(Senester): So he may feel slighted by the industry, or he may be still be waiting for that prime opportunity? Hmmm…find out who his influencers are. Get to them. I want him to think that this might very well be the big break he’s been looking for. I want him on our side. I want all of them on our side.
(Defense Attorney): I’ve already made the preparations.
(Senester): And the prosecution. This son of his with the amputated leg.
(Defense Attorney): Are you suggesting…
Senester just stares at him, his cold eyes glaring fiendishly.
(Defense Attorney): Of course…we’ll get right on it.
Senester turns his head looking out the window with a wry smile as the scene fades to black.
