Maniac: Good evening. For those who have not had the pleasure of meeting me yet, my name is Maniac. I am someone that all of you HWA fans should get really used to knowing, because soon enough every time you turn on the TV, you will see me. I have paid for the best training money can buy, and week in and week out, you will be treated to a masterpiece. A work of art so grand, your meager peasant brains will be left dazzled by it. Your eyes will pop out of your sockets, your jaw’s will drop to the floor, and you’ll wonder if what you saw was real. And all the while, I will stand in the ring, barely having raised a sweat, a smirk on my face as I plan how to dazzle you next week.
*Maniac takes a drink of scotch then continues to talk.*
Maniac: And so, before I blow your minds, allow me to give a brief history lesson, a lesson that not just the HWA fans, but also Hans von Richtoven and my opponents for The Other Side should listen too. For you see, I was not always this way. I was not always this great, nor this cocky. I grew up the oldest child of hard working parents. Parents that busted their ass to get me everything I ever needed, but still managed to fail more times than not. And I listened to them as they tried to teach the values of hard work to me. I watched as they tried to show me honesty, and tried to give me pride in myself. And after everything they tried to teach me, I walked away from my family knowing only one thing. I would never be like that, never busting my ass for a meager paycheck that barely kept a roof over my head and food in my fridge. No, I would be better than that. I promised myself, I would be a Millionaire by the time I was 20. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I was a Millionaire at 18 and a Billionaire at 21.
*Maniac chuckles, finishing his scotch.*
Maniac: And so maybe now, you’ll understand why I have no fear about my match at The Other Side. A match where the entire point is to either pin or make one of my opponents tap doesn’t worry me, because that’s what I do best. If I were a weak willed man, I wouldn’t be running A Billion Dollar Company. If I was concerned what people thought of me, I wouldn’t be able to go for the kill on those weaker companies who get in my way. You think AC James and Draconis scare me? Then you’ve never seen the way a Board of Directors scavenges the corpses of its former CEO. The wrestling ring is no different from the boardroom. Both are filled with bastards with no morals that will do anything to achieve their goal. And with me, HWA now has the biggest bastard of them all.
*Maniac gets out of the hot tub, wraps a towel around himself, and continues.*
Maniac: How many of you came here at Senester’s call? I’m guessing a few. And just how many of you came here with Senester’s blessing and an ‘Eternal Get out Of Jail Free’ card? I mean, maybe the donation I gave to the HWA bank account might have had something to do with it. Maybe the sponsorship offered by Romano Enterprises had even more to do with it. Fact is, I’m the new Chosen One inside the HWA, and at The Other Side I’m going to become the All Star Championship #1 Contender and barely raise a sweat during it. At Havoc, I made a statement when I beat Butch Parker in the middle of the ring. That statement was, I’m here to stay. As for the rest of the HWA …..be ready to see what true violence is all about.
*Maniac turns around and walks off as the scene fades to black.*
