"And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain." (Deuteronomy 2:34)
Tokyo, Japan…one day following Havoc. Senester is outside the Tokyo Imperial Palace. Walking his way to the front doors having just heard comments from Talon Wilkinson in the limo on the ride from the private airport. He comes upon a statue with a smile on his face, touching it and looking at it with appreciation.
(Senester): It was the 14th century. This is a monument to Kusunoki Masashige who was Japanese Samurai who lived in that era from 1294 – 1336. Like you Mr. Wilkinson he was quite loyal to his friends, especially Emperor Go-Daigo. The emperor called upon his most loyal warrior and his men to join forces with those of Nitta Yoshisada. However…the two had very conflicting battle strategies. Yoshisuke presented an aggressive strategy that was obvious to Masashige would be doomed to failure. Yet he remained loyal to Go-Daigo who chose Yoshisuke’s strategy over his own.
Senester walks around the statue, his hands rubbing against the aged structure and looking up into the face.
(Senester): The battle they would go into would take place on a hot and humid 5th of July at the Minato River in Harima. The forces of Nitta Yoshisada, and Kusunoki found themselves confronted by a force that had divided itself into three parts. Ashikaga Tadayoshi and Shoni Yorihisa advanced by land while Takauji and Hosokawa Jozen made their way to the battleground via ship. A child could inspect the map of the battle arrangements and see a fundamental flaw in the loyalist's dispositions. Kusuonki's forces were arrayed on the west bank of the Minatogawa, with his flank secured to the south by Nitta, deployed on the eastern side of the river. It is probable that the river was dry at this time, but any movement on Nitta's behalf eastward would still run the risk of leaving Kusunoki isolated, and in the course of the battle this was just what happened. When the fighting started Mr. Wilkinson, Shoni attacked Nita's front while Hosokawa sailed up and began landing to his rear. Nitta panicked and pulled back, leaving Kusunoki's 700 men to face the full brunt of Ashikaga Tadayoshi's army alone. Kusunoki and his men fought bravely but in the end were overwhelmed. After almost six hours of fighting he and his brother Masasue committed suicide, joined by those in their forces who had not already been killed. The loyalist cause was doomed, and Nitta Yoshisada, who had fled earlier....was later killed.
Senester walks away from the statue heading towards the palace.
(Senester): Why do I tell you this tale Mr. Wilkinson? What significance does it have to our upcoming encounter? You may consider this story a warning of sorts, a premonition of what is certain to happen at Havoc. You claim to have an “insurance policy”…your friends, your allies…Bridges, McNeil and of course Phoenix. In that...you too shall enter a battle with a strategy destined to fail. Cling fast to your Declarations 2010 victory if you will as well, but you shall not triumph over me. Your skills, your bravery, like Kusunoki Masashige….will fail you. As much as you attempt to differentiate yourself from each and every other individual before, you are nothing if not the same. A lesser being with hopes of overcoming that which he hasn’t the power to do psychologically or physically.
Senester walks along the waterfront, the palace in the very near distance where he shall soon have a business meeting. He looks down in the water, picking up a stone and tossing it in watching the ripples.
(Senester): If you think you’ve strengthened the reigns of the NWO by eliminating your vagabond, you are mistaken. If you think you’ll run off to your paltry Ice Box gym and train hard in typical big match fashion…again your are misled. If you think that the company of a woman will ease your apprehensions, or satisfy your body and soul…sadly your ideology is flawed. Masashige in light of certain defeat made a sacrifice according to Japanese tradition. You too shall make a sacrifice. I have tasted your blood, your sweat, your tears, even your lips, but I shall take more at Havoc Mr. Wilkinson. Go and visit Butch Parker if you think me dishonest. I may have detoured my full attention from you for other matters for some time, but my eye was ever watchful. You’ve learned nothing and have made not a singular advancement. State as you wish the changed man you are, the man ready to perhaps settle down, the man who is no longer the first and the last to leave a party, the man who gives freely of his body to inconsequential women. There is a price to defying me. It is high Mr. Wilkinson and you cannot afford it.
You are no “Reflection of Perfection” Mr. Wilkinson. When you look in the mirror you see nothing more than the man you wish you were, the man your pathetic mentor at one point thought you could be, and the man you truly have become. I needn’t crucify you like Butch Parker, because you carry your own cross, and it is those around you who supply the nails. Your feeble attempts at reconciliations will be for naught. It makes no differnce what reconciliations you attempt to make, or ranks you hope to add in your favor as a result. Tell me Mr. Wilkinson…how is your fathers heart? How are your mother’s spirits these days down in good ole N.C.? How does Ally see her big brother now that she no longer needs him? Once you were the protector, the provider, the dutiful son but no one needs you now. How perfect is that reflection Mr. Wilkinson?
He makes his way finally to the palace, just crossing the bridge smelling the crisp air carrying memories of the past.
(Senester): Once upon a time I wanted you. I admit even still that I desired you deeply. Your touch, your taste, your love. You are a fantasy, to me. In truth however, in reality…you are a man, a mere mortal, poorly flawed. We will dance at Havoc Mr. Wilkinson and it will be legendary. Stories like Kusunoki Masashige’s will be told of Talon Wilkinson who went into battle with Senester and great loss was suffered. Your mornings of rigorous workouts in poor attempts at self-advancement and success are over. Your days of licking your fingers of the sauce from the wings at Mr. Phoenix’s rancid bar are over. Your nights of promiscuity will end. Your moments of playing to the whims of the fans, and posing for their photos, all shall come to a halt. You will join Butch Parker in recognizing my irrefutable, and insurmountable power, and like him, like Kusunoki Masashige…your life as you know it will be over. Make your amends if that pleases you, but tell your friends, tell what is left of your family... that come Havoc…the man they knew as Talon Wilkinson will be no more, and he shall lay in the earth beside his brother as he should have a year ago. His mother, his father, his sister and his unborn niece or nephew shall soon join him. There is nothing you, nor they can do about it Mr. Wilkinson…I am God, and my will be done.
Senester makes his way to the front doors where guards are waiting for him, and he enters freely as the scene fades to black.
