As he steps off of the jet, the sun catches his Silver Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses casting a bright glint of light into the camera lens. The camera focuses on the sharp dressed “Reflection of Perfection” as he walks toward the camera with a coy grin.
Talon, “You’ve hurt me Ronnie… you’ve gone and called me a curtain jerker, you said that I am on a losing streak, and then you really got hurtful and revealed to me that nobody is bringing up my name when they cut their promos… I must say, that it may be time for me to pack in all in and call it a career.”
Talon’s grin quickly dissipates into the typical cold, nearly careless expression.
Talon, “Come on Ronnie, you’re embarrassing yourself, you’ve gone and dropped the hood-speak and replaced it with prerecorded footage? How many takes did it really take for you to get that big line juuust right? I mean c’mon, that was really epic… say it again for me. ’That’s Right, I’m Greatness’ Really epic stuff there champ. While you sat around carefully thinking out how you were going to say that you were really, truly better than me, I was fine tuning the intricate symphony that is going to spell the end of your pathetic reign as world champion.”
A momentary pause precedes the next sentence as Talon removes his sunglasses.
Talon, “While you were trying to figure out how to explain to me that you’ve done more than me, and that the fact that over the past TWO YEARS, you’ve been struggling to climb into the World title scene… during the same period, I won Ring Master, The World title, the 2010 MVP award, and the spotlight title… Now here I stand, awaiting my match with you in just another 24 hours… and when I win my second World Championship in the past two years, you’ll stand there and say what? …will that cause you to drag out all the things you’ve done over your career? Or will you start telling me about the things you’ve done in HWA over the same time frame to get a real perspective? Either way its fine with me, because I can dial up your bio and see all the great things you’ve done. You can do the same and see all the things I’ve done, but that doesn’t matter Ronnie... Wins, Losses, Disqualifications, none of that has a thing to do with Fatality, You can try to pump yourself up for this fight, you should in fact, but when it comes down to brass tax, no matter how many times you say you are better than me, it will never be true.”
Talon takes a deep breath and flashes a phony smile.
Talon, “You are the champion of HWA. By default, that makes you ‘the best’ in the business… but when we step into the ring, you’ll be right about one thing you said… You won’t be able to make me look in the ring McNeil; that’s because I am going to break you down piece by piece and leave you scattered around ringside. You won’t be able to ‘carry’ me in the match because you won’t be able to stand. You won’t be able to walk; you won’t even be able to crawl. You will be screaming for EMT’s to come down to ringside to escort you back to your locker room. You won’t be sitting in the locker room at the end of the night laughing as you look at your belt; you’ll be taking the long ride back to Birmingham as the loser you so adamantly portray yourself not to be…”
The camera gets closer as Talon lets out a disgruntled sigh.
Talon, “Ronnie, you disgust me. You ask me, the only hope of Salvation for this pathetic world, for a miracle; The miracle of making you, Ronnie McNeil, somewhat relevant again. You ask me to revive interest in the wrestler that people would not miss if he fell off the face of the earth tomorrow… and above all else, you expect me, the Seraphim to do all this while you attempt to speak these blasphemous things against me… You act as if you are entitled to the soap box you so elegantly stand on as you go through your little routine of speak and reply with yourself, but what you are failing to see is that the box you’re standing on is the same one that I will kick out from under you and watch as your hands slip from the brass ring and you plummet back down to earth; and believe me Ronnie, you will slip and fall. Sooner rather than later Ron, sooner than later, I am going to ascend back to the glory of the World Championship, and I will do it by walking across your back, stepping on your face, and crushing your skull as I stand with that 23 pounds of gold raised over my head. The angels shall once again sing, as the heavens open and the eternal light of our father shines down upon the one he chose to be the Savior of this world…”
Talon pauses and looks up to the skies, bringing his gaze back down to the camera with a very faints smile.
Talon, “Ronnie, go home and film another meaningless vignette of your family life… but remember, I’ve already seen it. Don’t think we stopped observing you when I stepped out of the shadows. We’re still watching, it all falls into the grand scheme of things and soon enough you will see this.
Before you fly out here to Chicago, be sure to give Ms. Toya an extra long hug, maybe one last ‘long kiss goodnight’…because my bindings have been cut, and there are no more restrictions on what I can do when I step into the ring, or when I am out of it. If I wish to part the waters, I am free to do so, and If I want to sacrifice a member of your family, so be it.”
Stepping forward, he lets out a low laugh and continues.
Talon, “It is just a matter of time before you realize that you are of no importance to me Ronnie, you are simply an insignificant victim of circumstance. Your blood, your family, your life, all a part of my plans because of that championship you carry. You are not an angel, nor an enigma… You are but a mortal man who stands defiantly in the face of God and you WILL be broken, and I am the one who will break you.”
Before the scene fades, Talon takes one last look at the camera and puts his sunglasses back on.
Talon, “Phase II is almost finalized. Ronnie, leave the big boy talk in Alabama, because when you arrive here in Chicago you will want to save all your words for afterwards when you’re backtracking and whining for rematch… I’m going to defeat you Ronnie, and the best part is… I’m going to do it clean.”
Talon walks past the camera and into the distance as the scene fades to black.
