(Group of reporters): Butch! Butch! Butch! Over here, Butch!
Butch involuntarily flinches and shields his eyes with the back of his hand as the flashing of camera lenses bombard him.
(Butch): Guys! Guys! Remember when I had corneas?! Chillax for a minute and you’ll get your damn questions answered, just one at a time!
The rabble of journalists eventually dies down and the reporters individually ask Butch their questions.
(Reporter 1#): Butch, how does it feel to be back in HWA after such a long absence, especially in these very unique circumstances?
Butch smiles despite himself.
(Butch): Unique? Yes, these are indeed very unique circumstances. Like I said earlier on this evening, these aren’t the circumstances I’d planned any sort of return around.
(Reporter 2#): Butch, how did it feel being in the ring again with Buff Bridges and Michael Dredge, two of your greatest rivals?
Butch puffs his cheeks, allowing a breath to whoosh out.
(Butch): Nostalgic to say the least. Felt like a flashback to 5 years ago when it was us three dominating the headlines, Pay-Per-Views and battling over the World Championship. I mean, Buff was the man who I battled over the HWA Championship for the first time back in 2004 and he and I have quite some incredible battles in the past. And Michael Dredge, well…*Butch smirks* I think he speaks for himself. Michael and I have a history unlike any other rivalry in this industry and to say our relationship has been a s one would probably be the understatement of the century. But all-in-all, to stand in the ring with those two in front of those screaming fans was a great privilege.
(Reporter 3#): Butch, you had a little altercation with Fallen and Finn during your attempts to conduct an interview with them at Havoc, what are your thoughts on them?
Butch smirks derisively before answering.
(Butch): Ahhh, Fallen and Finn….
Butch s######s mildly as he lightly rubs his temples with the thumb and index finger of his left hand.
(Butch): I don’t have anything to say about either Fallen or Finn. I’m sure I’ll bump into them again sooner or later and I’m sure they’ll have more things to say but quite frankly, they’re not even worth my time or attention. I have much bigger fish to fry and than worrying about some flippant comments made by couple of hicks who struggle to string a cohesive sentence together.
(Reporter 4#): Butch, do you have any plans to get back in the ring and compete?
(Butch): No, my in-ring days are behind me. My sole purpose in returning is doing some tasks backstage in exchange for getting custody of my children, pure and simple. I will go back into retirement once that happens. Now, thank you for your questions everyone, but I’m a very tired man, so good night.
Butch politely pushes through the rabble of journalists and makes his towards his metallic Porsche 911 Turbo, and speeds off out of the Parking Lot as the scene fades to black.
