But in modern times things have changed, some people wanting your autograph aren’t really fans, they’re Ebay businessmen. And instead of a guy with pen and a pad in his hands you’re getting stopped by a full blown film crew from some low rent website.
“Stu-E; long time! How’s things?”
The film crew don’t even introduce themselves just fire in with a question, though it was relatively pleasant enough.
“Hey guys, things are good I guess, I’m about a hundred steps from a Subway and I’ve got a little rumbling for a steak and cheese sandwich. So with that in mind, what can I do for you?”
“How was your appearance at Havoc, and your debut with HWA?”
Not even an ounce of personal conversation, straight in to a another question like the whole damn thing has been rehearsed by them before.
“The appearance was good, the fans stood out more than anything, but I had a real good time there and I’m excited about what I can bring to the HWA table.”
“What about your run in with Sheik Shakir?”
Stu-E glances at the crew, and just wishes they’d be a little more polite.
“That wasn’t a run in, and I have zero problem with Sheik as of this moment in time. I did nothing anybody else wouldn’t have done. It was no big deal, and I’m sorry but there’s no dirt for you guys to throw around.”
“But what about your friend Bryan Deas and that cheap shot?
He sighs, and looks down the busy street noticing the Subway sign is getting closer.
“It wasn’t a cheap shot, it was frustration. If something like that didn’t happen, then something would be wrong, wouldn’t it? Bryan will be fine, that first taste will only make him in to a better wrestler and I think some people will be very surprised in the next few weeks and even months.”
Thankfully he’s gotten to Subway, he grabs the door handle and pulls the door open, hoping to just slip away.
“Just before you go for that steak and cheese sandwich, what’s in store for you in the next few weeks and months of HWA?”
“What’s going to happen is I’m going to be given opponents, and my job will be to wrestle them. Hopefully I’ll win the matches and advance up the ladder, and hopefully I can win in a way that the fans will enjoy and appreciate. It’s the wrestling business, it’s not that complicated, guys.”
Stu-E laughs and enters the sandwich store as the video just cuts out.
