“Well, I’ve made my decision now. No turning back. It was actually kind of cool on Havoc to defend the titles against an unknown team, gave me an opportunity to see how well we could work together as a team. That little mark in the ‘win’ column helped matters of course...”
He smirks, before casually laughing.
“Already my tag team career is more successful than my singles run here.”
Again he smiles, as he takes another glance at the title belt staring back at him.
“Maybe we should come up with a team name, something like Priceless Style or the Freddie and Stu-E Discombobulated Team of Awesomeness. Maybe I should try to get Freddie to change his name to Fred-D so it synchs a little better with mine? And what about ring gear? We could get matching clothes and elbow pads, and have a substandard DJ remix our theme tunes!”
He looks up at the ceiling and sighs before looking back at the camera.
“Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the gayest promo I’ve ever recorded in HWA!”
Stu-E smiles.
“But if I could be serious for a minute. I’ve got to say Styles, thank you for accepting the opportunity I presented to you. I know that there’s thousands of people out there wanting to know why exactly I picked you but as far as I’m concerned that’s our own personal business. We’ll discuss that after a round of drinks somewhere in an overpriced bar after Havoc. I’m really looking forward to what we can do as a team here, what we can do for the tag team division and what we can do for the fans watching. But getting back to Havoc.”
He walks over to the window, simply staring out of it at the traffic below.
“I’m right back to my rollercoaster of a singles career, I call it a rollercoaster because I’m still enjoying the ride, though some would call it a train wreck of career so far. But I’m not here to talk about Michael James because my opponent demands my complete attention. I’ve read up about him, watched his matches and maybe, just maybe, what the majority of the people say is true. Claus, you’re a hell of a wrestler and damned dangerous between those ropes.”
The sound of sirens below are heard, they whizz past the hotel before being followed by the sound of a helicopter over head, interrupting Stu-E’s promo, who just lets it pass before continuing.
“You managed to defeat Senester, that takes a hell of a lot of hard work to be able to say that. I think, honestly, I’m a far way off being good enough here to be able to get close to pulling that off so you’ve got that advantage over me. However, with that being said, I’m still getting used to things here in HWA. The slight change in the ring size, the different bounce to the ropes and the hardened ring mat. Little things that take an old timer like myself a little longer to get used to. But I will get there, that my friend I can promise you. It might be in a few more shows, a few more pay-per-views or it might just be this week on Havoc. We’ll see, Claus, we’ll see.”
He reaches forwards and closes the curtains of his room before laying on the bed, his tag team title just by his head as the promo fades out.
