What people didn't know was that Stu-E celebrated his thirty third birthday in March. It's a fairly insignificant number yet important enough for him for it marked his sixteenth year in this business.
"I never could have guessed the longevity my career would be rewarded."
Sitting behind his desk in his office, 'England's Favourite Wrestler' is looking relaxed for once.
"When I stepped in to the ring at seventeen years of age, I took some ass kickings! Almost exclusively, those beat downs were my fault. I would do anything to get noticed back then outside the ring because I knew I wasn't the finished article when it came to being a Wrestler.
I was the annoying kid who would target the Champions by stealing their beer and crashing their pick up truck or just beat them up after a they've had a particularly difficult match. I even broke a Hall of Fame plaque over a Legend's head, and I liked the guy! Thankfully I grew out of all that as I perfected my in ring style and started winning titles and learning what it meant to be a Champion."
A smile appears upon his face as he reminisces about his first couple of rookie years.
"It's because of that maturity through success that I can say a big thank you to the three guys I faced for giving both a hell of a fight and he'll of a match to win. But, we move on.
It might have been as surprising as seeing me sitting here flapping my gums for some people but it felt great collecting the win. Can I follow it up on Havoc? Only time will tell as I step in to the ring with Draven. Admittedly I know very little about the guy, not seen much of him backstage. I suppose I could believe the hype and hollering I've heard about him but not everything that looks good on paper turns out great.
So once again, I'm looking forward to wrestling someone new and finding out in my own way just what this guy is about. I would love to sit here and talk about the guy but I there's no real point. He'll have his own ideas about how this match is going to go, but I'll have my counters to his situations so ladies and gentlemen please; enjoy the match."
The promo fades out just as Stu-E gets up from the table and walks out the room, turning the lights as he goes which leaves the image of old title belts hanging on the wall just catching s reflection of some distant light source.
