Backstage, the returning Butch Parker and his beautiful wife Wisdom are in the midst of making their way back toButch's locker room and just like the audience who witnessed Butch's surprising and empathic return to HWA television, both of them are still pumped to the max and running on adrenaline. So much so in fact that, despite Butch's open forehead wound caused by his and Senester's head-clash, Wisdom leaps into Butch's arms, wrapping her legs around his waist as soon as the door is closed. She is so overcome with passion in the heat of the moment, pushing her tongue into her husband's mouth in a deep, passionate kiss, her hands all over Butch's face, her fingers cruising through his chestnut brown hair and beard. Eventually she releases the kiss and leaps back down again, smiling up at Butch broadly.
(Wisdom): That was f***ing awesome!
Butch grins back, still somewhat recovering from Wisdom's sudden and impulsive explosion of passion.
(Butch): Which part?
Wisdom returns Butch's smile, running a seductive finger across the perimeter of Butch's jaw line.
(Wisdom): Both, cheeky! If that wasn't a statement of intent I don't know what is!
(Butch): That was just the beginning, babe.
Butch reaches out and holds Wisdom's hands.
(Butch): Listen babe, I wanted to thank you for everything. You've always stood by me and never stopped believing in me. You made me see sense when I couldn't see it myself and -
(Wisdom): Ssshhh....
Wisdom holds a finger up to Butch's lips, instantly silencing him.
(Wisdom): That's enough of that. I'm your wife and I'll stand by you no matter what happens. Remember, you're Butch f***ing Parker, the best husband, the best dad and the best damn wrestler in the world and don't you dare forget it. Now take your pants off and f*** me!
Another boyish grin spreads across Butch's face as he begins unbuckling the belt of his jeans and he devours Wisdom in another passionate embrace as the scene temporarily fades to black.
40 MINUTES LATER
The scene fades back in some time later as Butch and Wisdom, now looking freshly showered, are seen making their towards the arena exit. Butch has an arm wrapped across Wisdom's shoulders, his fingers idly intertwining with the locks of her golden blond hair, whilst Wisdom's arm is wrapped around Butch's waist, her hand nestled comfortably in one of his back pockets.
Suddenly, Mr Herrington is seen walking swiftly down one of the arena's corridors, trying to keep pace and catch up with the leaving couple.
(Mr Herrington): Excuse me? Butch? Wisdom? I know you're just about to take your leave but might I trouble you with some questions? I'm sure you can appreciate everyone in the wrestling world will be buzzing right now and, like myself, would be very intrigued to hear your thoughts regarding what happened at the conclusion of tonight's programme.
Both Butch and Wisdom both stop in their tracks and turn to face Mr Herrington.
(Butch): Michael James got on notice tonight, Robert., that's what happened. He was sent a clear message that Butch Parker is back, open for business and that his brief stint atop the HWA food chain is going to come to an end very soon.
(Mr Herrington): So what made you decide to come out of retirement once again? If you don't mind my saying, this isn't the first time you've dropped off the radar only to resurface months later. Why should HWA fans believe this time will be any different than before?
Butch nods in acknowledgement at the point made.
(Butch): Its a fair question, Robert. First of all, I didn't officially retire after I lost the World Championship to Michael James. I needed to co a bit of soul-searching and take some time to reflect on, and let's not sugar-coat this, probably one of the darkest moments of my career. I'm not boasting when I say that not a lot of men who have walked through the doors of HWA in my decade-long tenure have scratched a notch in their bedpost to signify a victory over me. Then along comes Michael James who seems to have made it his mission to make my life and the lives of my family a living hell, beats me in two straight matches whilst also usurping my reign as HWA World Champion.
But as the saying goes, behind every great man is a great woman and this beautiful woman...
Butch rubs Wisdom's arm affectionately.
(Butch):... Helped me see sense and get me back on the right path. Because I'll be honest Robert, this was the first time in my career I felt inferior to an opponent to such an extent I doubted my ability to get back in the ring and wrestle again.
(Mr Herrington): And you don't feel like that now I take it.
Butch): Considering I beat seven shades of shit out of Michael James, Senester and Shakir pretty much singlehandedly, I'd say my confidence and self-belief are back at the levels they should be.
(Mr Herrington): So what are your plans now you're back with this renewed belief and confidence then?
(Butch): Simple, Robert. I'm coming for Michael James. Did you see the look on his face when he saw me in that ring tonight? That's fear, Robert. He'll deny it of course, try to put on a brave face for the camera and put it down to surprise, but he seen the look in my eyes, that rekindled fire and he saw a glimpse of his fate. Michael James is a marked man and he has what's mine. There are two matches left in our Best of Three remember and I intend on evening the score, avenging the nightmare he has put my family through and becoming a four-time HWA World Champion.
(Mr Herrington): Very admirable, Butch and I commend you on your confidence. Now, you did mention you also had quite the physical confrontation with Senester earlier, are you worried about any fallout on the back of that?
(Butch): Robert, there's only a few men who have been in this company who have a more storied history with Senester than I. Whatever agreement he has with Michael James is irrelevant. He knows I make him money and he knows the fans would rather see me in that ring against Michael James and despite what he may tell you, it's not wise to cook your golden goose and I've got plenty more eggs to hatch yet.
(Mr Herrington): Interesting, very interesting. Now one final question, Butch if I may? Michael Dredge was also officially reunited with Senester tonight and with Shakir and possibly Draven and Draconis coming into his fold, some are saying a rebirth of the Horde is on the horizon, what are your thoughts?
(Butch): If the Horde returns, it'll certainly be a shadow of its former self. You look at their history and who served under that banner - Buff, Thane Givens, Hell's Guardian, Dark Messenger, James McLeod, Will Scott, Monkey Jones, the list goes on. It'd be like reforming The Four Horseman with Ric Flair and 3MB. As far as Michael Dredge goes, everyone knows our history but unfortunately he is a puppet, always in need of a master, incapable of being his own man and always needing a guiding hand to show him the way and a voice in his hear telling him what to do and that Senester will ride that rollercoaster for all it's worth. Michael Dredge will find no solace from the Parkers that's for sure, he had his chance at redemption and he threw it away. He might be a legend, a Hall of Famer, a Grand Slam champion and he certainly gave me a run for my money once upon a time but I fear he's in the last chance saloon now with only a couple of rounds left in the barrel. And when it all goes to shit again, he'll make his magic face turn and expect everyone to buy into it. Well I can tell you now there's two people standing in front of you who won't be. Thanks for your time, Robert but we're starving and have a plane to catch.
(Mr Herrington): The pleasure is all mine son, good to have you back.
Butch gives Mr Herrington a friendly pat on the arm as he and Wisdom finally take their leave of the arena and the scene finally fades to black.
