(Sarah): Her girl, wassup?
Michelle in a bit of a panicked voice responds.
(Michelle): Did you see it? Did you see her promo?
(Sarah): Huh? Who? What are you talking about?
(Michelle): Alexis heard everything we said, how can she have heard every single word I said?
(Sarah): I don’t know, the darn cameras are everywhere remember? There’s only a cameraman outside the facilities, but anywhere in HQ and the training center…they’re everywhere.
(Michelle): I just wanted to pray for her, what’s wrong with that? Only God is supposed to hear my prayer, not the whole HWA audience.
(Sarah): Well, it’s done now, you can’t go worrying about everything that comes out of her mouth. You’ve got a match with her at Havoc that’s what you need to focus on now.
(Michelle): I guess you’re right. Thanks. I guess I….Oh my Goodness!
(Sarah): What?
(Michelle): Sean just text me, what do I say?
(Sarah): How should I know, I can’t see it, that’s between you two.
(Michelle): Oh geez….I have to reply or he’s going to think I’m ignoring him, but if I message him right back he’s going to think I’m one of those loose girls.
(Sarah): Loose? Girl….just go text him back.
(Michelle): Okay, okay…I’ll think of something.
(Sarah): Alright, girl. I’ll see you later.
Sarah hangs up with Michelle and goes to the HWA App on her phone and sees Alexis’ promo. She purses her lips and raises an eyebrow, instantly feeling the need to respond. She sets the app into recording mode and turns her phone around to face her.
(Sarah): You know what Alexis, truth of the matter is, you’re right….to a degree, but first let’s get one thing straight. Didn’t nobody go and snitch to Butch and Wisdom about what you did. If you’re so interested, go ask management because it wasn’t Michelle, it wasn’t Sean and it sure as hell wasn’t me. It was probably someone on staff just doing their job keeping an eye on things. I know what it means to be a woman in any sport trying to make your way, especially wrestling. I know what it is to be confident in your own ability and want to showcase that. No one’s pointing the finger at you because you walked in here like you’re the Queen Bee. You’re getting the finger pointed at you because you walked in here and didn’t recognize where the hell you really were.
Look around you girl, how many of us do you see? Its Michelle and its me. Erica can’t even compete here legally yet and all the other women that came through here left either because they couldn’t cut it in training, or they went on because they wanted something more at the time…like AEW, or WWE or whatever else. A few months ago we didn’t even have a show, hell we just had the first Havoc. All this time it’s been a core group of us holding this place down together and we’ve developed a friendship, and trusts that supersede this business. I get that you have experience elsewhere, but some of us don’t have years under our belt in wrestling. At one point in time, you had the same journey, the problem is…you come in here and don’t seem to appreciate our journey. HWA doesn’t have the notoriety it once did, but I’m damn sure we are going to get there again fast and I’d like to think that, that is why you came here…to be part of something revolutionary. To be part of something that I don’t think has ever happened before in wrestling with a company making as huge of a comeback as we are now. You don’t need to come in her and show your ass to make a point. Nobody has forgotten this is a competitive sport but damn girl, take a chill pill. That’s not how we do things around here. We lift each other up, not tear each other down. You can join us and be a part of that, or you can go call one of those other places and tell them you changed your mind since apparently you had so many offers and turned them down. Bye!
Sarah ends the video and gets back to fixing her salad looking forward to a relaxing evening as the scene fades to black.
