Sean Parker stands in front of a weight rack in one of the workout rooms in the HWA Training Academy in Santa Monica, California.
He scans the various dumbbells and barbells and grabs a pair of moderately heavy dumbbells and walks over to the bench press.
Lying down on the bench, he positions himself under the barbell and lifts it off the rack. Slowly, he lowers the bar down to his chest and then pushes it back up. He repeats the exercise, focusing on his form and keeping his elbows tucked in.
After completing several sets, Sean stands up and walks over to the cable machine. He attaches a rope to the cable and adjusts the weight to a moderate and realistic level for his size and weight. Grabbing the rope with both hands, he pulls it down towards his chest, squeezing his shoulder blades together. He releases the rope and repeats the exercise for several more sets.
Moving on to the leg press machine, Sean loads it up with a challenging but manageable weight. He positions his feet shoulder-width apart and pushes the weight away from him, feeling the burn in his quads. He completes several sets before moving on to the calf raise machine.
Sitting down on the machine, Sean adjusts the weight to level enough that will push him but not so much he would be at risk of physical injury. He places his feet on the platform and lifts the weight with his calves, feeling the muscles in his lower legs contract. Sean completes several sets before going over to the pull-up bar.
Gripping the bar tightly, Sean hauls himself up, chin above the bar. He lowers himself down and then repeats the exercise for multiple sets.
As he finishes his workout, Sean feels the satisfying burn in his muscles. With a deep breath, he mops his face with a towel and takes a deep drink from his sports juice. As he goes to walk over to the training ring to do some ring drills, he spots the camera crew surveying the scene.
(Sean): Ohhh Legion, Legion, Legion. You really are a walking contradiction, aren’t you? You know what contradiction means, don’t you, Legion?
Sean dismisses this with a wave of his hand.
(Sean): Of course you do, you went to college! You actually accuse me of being vile and toxic and not wanting to sink to my level, after you literally mimicked forcing my girlfriend to give you oral sex. So go ahead and climb down off that pedestal you’ve placed yourself all the way up there before you get vertigo, big guy, because the moral high ground isn’t for you.
You think you’re here to elevate our sport? You wanna be that guy? Asking me if I can elevate this sport. Legion, I’ve been here for the last eight years, busting a gut, honing my craft, practically carrying this company on my surgically-repaired back for nearly a decade, whilst you were doing what exactly? So don’t you dare come to me with that shit. If you want an opponent that’s gonna give you a challenge, you’ll get that from me in spades, I promise you that! I’ll also promise you there will be no funny business from your buddy, Fallen. You wanna beat me and prove to the wrestling world you’re good enough? You should be able to do it without any help. After all, you’re bigger than me, Legion, you’re definitely stronger than me but it takes more than strength to elevate yourself in this sport.
You see, professional wrestling isn’t just a sport… it’s an art form…an art form I have dedicated all of my formative years to perfecting. I may not be much to look at physically but I have showcased my own strength, my endurance, my fortitude a thousand times over and I’ll do it thousand more times. I treat each match as if it were my last, and I see them as an opportunity to create something memorable and Havoc will be no different. I push myself to my physical limits, to new heights and Havoc will be no different, Legion. I will literally need to go to new heights if I’m to chop you down to size and show everyone that I’m this “carbon copy cutout” of my uncle you and everyone thinks I am.
I am my own man, Legion. I am not Butch Parker Mark II, I am Sean freakin’ Parker! My uncle is one of the greatest of all time it’s true. He’s up there on the Mount Rushmore. But I’m not him, Legion. I will be better. Twenty years from now, you will be nothing more than a footnote in the prologue of my journey to greatness when they ask who was the first notch on the bedpost when Sean Parker rose to greatness.
Make no mistake, Legion, I’ve been dreaming about making this right all the way back to 2009. But once I’m done, I will not give you another thought. I will close this long overdue chapter and will never read it again.
Sean walks away from the camera as the scene fades to black.
