Since the show filled the CBS airwaves he's had to turn his phone off, it just wouldn't stop ringing and the messages were piling up. The only person he's spoken to was Laney's mother back home in England. In the circumstances it was a relatively pleasant call, Price sure was a little grateful that she was still recovering from her illness, so possibly wasn't feeling well enough to get overly angry.
They knew the risks, they knew the personalities of some people in this business but they weren't dumb about it, either. Laney's been very disciplined, she understands where to be, how to stay out of trouble and so far, she's gotten herself out of trouble.
If that's informing the Draconis kids she knew exactly who they were, or judging the right angle to swing her fist as hard as she could in to Legion's groin, Stu-E is immensely proud of how she's conducting herself inside a dog-eat-dog business.
It's the only reason he's not patched together a promo promising to burn everything to the ground the Darqsiders stand for, that father's love. As he saw the scene of Michelle in an emotional state, guessing what might have happened to her all he could think of was her Dad, what sort of impact this might have on him, how he might take it out on Sean.
It started to feel to Price like it might be an idea to go pay him a visit, sometime, and just talk to him man to man about everything and then go from there.
If the Darqsiders really are fired, it might make things easier because those phone calls and those messages aren't going to just be from reporters looking for an angle, far from it.
Just some of those people reaching out to him might be members of the Slow-Riders Dithmarschen, a motorcycle gang based over in Germany, headed up by a family member. And then there might be his Grandparents connections in Sicily that are all about family. Not to mention the rather infamous Romany gypsy family Stu-E's own Mother grew up with.
You could even throw in his business associates he dealt with when flipping pubs and clubs, a lot of them were in rundown, low income areas so you needed a special sort of security to eliminate problems as quickly as possible.
Stu-E looks at his right hand, each of those connections could be a finger, while he could become the thumb, bring them all together and make one far reaching fist for situations like this.
But then, he'd be no better than the other guys going over the top over a wrestling show, would he? Sometimes being the better man is damn hard, but it's always nice to know you have options.
He gingerly walks through the upmarket hotel room, passed the tastefully decorated lounge completely ignoring the night sky and creaked Laney's bedroom door open. She's still lights out, thankfully. Stu-E lets out a contented sigh and slightly shakes his head, thinking about what the next step might be and just what angle is going to bring about the best resolution both for him and his daughter, and then Sean and Michelle.
As he glances over at his switched off phone, the scene fades out.
