Sean manages ease out of Michelle’s grip and carefully climbs out of the bed. He checks his I’m phone and sees the amount of missed calls and messages from Butch, Wisdom, Sensei, Hans, Jeremy, Sarah, Matt, Stu-E and Alexis have practically doubled. He fires a couple of quick responses to appease them and assure them that they are ok, all things considered. He makes a point of passing on his well wishes to Hans regarding Erica’s attack on Vanessa and takes the time to personally thank Stu-E and asks how Laney is. After that, he quietly sneaks out of the hotel room and leans on the veranda, looking out on the skyline. Sean’s mind is amok with images of Michelle lying in an almost-foetal position, sobbing her heart out. Her flinching from him when he tried to console her. The mess her beautiful blonde hair was in. The broken look on her beautiful face. He was f***ing furious. His heart literally ached with the pain and sorrow Michelle was experiencing and he couldn’t help but allow more tears to accumulate in the corners of his eyes. He brought his phone up, dialled a number. It rang about three times before going to voicemail. He took a deep breath before he spoke. His voice trembles with anger.
(Sean): Guess who, f***er? That’s right, Angel. It’s that pretty boy Parker. You think my Uncle firing you is the end of this? You listen to me carefully, Steven Angel. What you did to Michelle was the biggest mistake of your life. When you shoved her hand in your pants, when you put your mouth on her body, you might as well have signed your own death warrant.
He pauses for a moment, taking a deep breath again.
(Sean): See, while Michelle wants me to leave this in God's hands, I've got more sinister intentions for you, twisted f***. And trust me, it doesn't involve God. In fact, you're gonna wish for divine intervention by the time I’m done with you.
Sean’s voice grows colder, filled with rage.
(Sean): You seriously thought you could violate her like that? An innocent young woman whose only crime was being associated with me, and walk away unscathed? You're dead wrong, Steven. I'll make you suffer in ways you can't even fathom. I'll haunt your every waking moment, becoming the nightmare that consumes your pathetic existence. I'll rip away that mask you wear and show everyone the monster you truly are. You won't be able to hide or find solace anywhere. I'll hunt you down like the f***ing vermin you are.
He takes another deep breath.
(Sean): Consider this a warning, Steven. I'm not just seeking justice; I'm out for vengeance. I'll make sure you suffer for every ounce of pain you inflicted on Michelle. You'll beg for mercy that will never come, praying for an escape that won't come. There will be no sanctuary, no redemption, only an unrelenting darkness, Angel. I’m coming for you.
Sean's words hang in the air, dripping with menace and a thirst for retribution as he ends the message, heading back inside. He creeps back in, careful not to wake Michelle. When he leans over the bed, he sees she’s still asleep. He sits on the edge of the bed and looks up. A rare moment of vulnerability washes over him, and despite his lack of religious beliefs, he finds himself compelled to utter a prayer. He clasps his hands together and closes his eyes, seeking solace and strength in this act.
(Sean): Hey Big Man… I know you and I don’t really talk but I thought it was probably right to check in. So, please grant Michelle strength. She believes you in more than I do, she loves you, she believes in the solace she finds from talking to you. So please, help her find the resilience to come out of this stronger than before. She means everything to me, and I can't bear to see her broken.
Sean's voice quivers as he continues, tears streaking down his face.
(Sean): Whilst you’re at it, keep that rat bastard Fallen's soul warm, he’s gonna need some of your guidance by the time I’m done with him….also…Forgive me, for the path I'm about to tread. I know that I cannot guarantee my place in any afterlife that may exist with the actions I am about to take. But for Michelle, for justice, I'm willing to try. Perhaps there's a sliver of redemption to be found amidst the chaos. But yeah, please just listen out for Michelle, cheers big man.
Sean's whispers prayer concludes and he slides quietly back into bed, not noticing Michelle had just overheard his prayer as the scene fades to black.
