The Pitch begins at 10:00 a.m. at the Bardstown Pits(All classes will start at this time) - Registration or sign in begins at 9:00 a.m. We are currently working on the schedule, please understand that not everyone will have their entry forms in on time so we do allow walk ups on Saturday. Since this festival is a week long event we have people coming in from all over the world so we really cannot turn anyone away. We have a few pitchers coming in from New York that were at the World Tournament in Springfield. So lets make them feel welcomed with that southern hospitality.
We will have food, soft drinks at the pits should anyone get hungry.
This Festival is NOT a KHPA Tournament, however to have some type of pitching rule, we are using the KHPA & NHPA Rules will apply for pitching.
Bourbon Festival is a NON-SANCTIONED Tournament.
As of now, we have the follwing classes:
Mens 40 ft.- We have only 19 entries turned in so far and this does NOT include the walk ups on Saturday. so these will be broken down into classes accoding to your precentages. We try to do the schedule as Jim Peavley and Robert Taylor try to do it each week. We don't have any other way of doing this since we allow the walk ups on that day.
Depending on now many entries, This class will be broken down into other classes EX: A,B,C, then a championship round will occur with the winners of those classes going up against each other for the Barrell Head Trophy.
Womens 30 ft- 5 entries so far
Junior Division - 1 entry so far
Please be mindful that anyone that has never attended this festival before, Bardstown is World known as being the "Bourbon Capital of the World" the police will not bother you if you drink during this festival event, you basically have a FREE PASS for this festival event you are attending,you will be legally allowed to drink alcohol as long as it is in a container, The Bourbon Festival will provide a FREE Taxi Service for you if you cannot drive.
We at the pits will also be avaialble to take care of you if you need us.
Please be mindful this will be a long day so plan on staying for awhile we will enjoy your company and pitching. If you know anyone that would like to pitch, Men,Women,Juniors, please bring them along. We will take walk ups.
The entry fee for ALL entries including Juniors is $15.
