If on Exercise 7 we want to use the fact that, in the definition of the exterior measure, we can cover E by countable collections of cubes or by countable collections of rectangles, do we have to prove that fact as well (even though this is Exercise 15 in SS and we haven't been explicitly assigned that problem)? Thanks.
