Are the New York Yankees the greatest profressional sports franchise?

As I'm sure everyone knows by now, last night the New York Yankees won their 27th World Series Championship in Major League Baseball. With their win last night, it got me to thinking this: Taking into account the 3 major sports (baseball, football, and basketball) with their 27th championship are the Yankees the greatest sports franchise, or is it, unfair or impossible to compare them to the Boston Celtics' championship wins with their incredible run in the 1960s, or the the Green Bay Packers number of championship seasons?
While the Yankees have the most championships, the fact that they date all the way back to the first one in 1923 only means they have won more championships because they've been eligible to play in more. And I feel pretty much the same way about the Packers, since they won their first championship in 1929.
Even though I don't watch the NBA now at all, I can remember watching (and marveling) at the Celtics winning the NBA title year after year after year. And I'm sure it's because of the number of championships they won consecutively, but I consider the Celtics the greatest professional sports franchise of all time, although I'm sure there's room for debate.
