I never meant Teddy was a coach,I said he was a real boxing guy.He did only have 2 fights and I have said many times he is one of the worst cornermen I have seen in my life.I do not even like his commentary ,but he comes from an era of boxing that is ripe with knowledge and has had access to knowledge for a long time.He also stands up for what he thinks is right. Is he missguided,no doubt in my mind.As for as teaching boxing goes, none of the real elite of the game have boxed.Angello and my trainer Bill Gore were around great teachers all their lives,Gore being with Benny Leonard as a kid and Angello being with several of the top boxing teachers and in gyms all their life.Knowledge wins, but without the abillity to commmunicate it ex boxers tend to communicate what they did themselves as opposed to what is correct for all .No one is a bigger fan of Angello Dundee,Bill Gore than I am.But these are the exception rather than the rule. When dealing with kids lives,I tend to go with the rule, while leaving a little room for the exception.God bless...kenny weldon
