Back in 2003, I started researching palms that could grow in my climate after discovering these palms growing at a local Mexican restaurant.
I then found the Hardy Palm and Subtropical Board and started firing off the questions about growing a windmill palm. With a little encouragement from the guys on the board, I went searching around local nurseries trying to find one. I found a nursery about 30 miles away that carried them so I headed off to make the purchase. The nursery only had one gallon sized windmills. I bought just one. I planted it in the ground soon afterwards, and it has grown ever since. I consider this a great purchase!
It's currently growing at my mom's house (I've moved out since then) and will come to mine when she decides to move.
