Pink Bananas: The wonderful Musa Velutina

Musa velutina makes a nice grove pretty quickly. This spring I started with one sprouted seed of Randy's (that was 1.5 feet when I planted it in March) along with a few corms that I received in the mail. Here's the grove today! I like the slender leaves compared to musa basjoo. I think this banana grows to the perfect height and is wonderful for smaller yards, and it's hardy in at least zone 7b.
Progress of the fruit. They seem to be getting very plump.
